WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW About CPI Training (not for certification) #11580 |
*FACE-TO-FACE*
June 1 9:00 - 12:00 Instructor: Jen Zapanta |
This class will explain how CCSD’s CPI class teaches state law and district policy related to restraints. It will provide an overview of the primary concepts that CPI training covers. Because CPI teaches skills that take time to develop, concepts that require reflection, and ways to assess risk that can be difficult to apply, staff required to have CPI certification will benefit from leaders and colleagues who understand the content of that training.
This class is ideal • if you supervise or support staff who are required to be CPI certified • if you have any questions related to restraint or seclusion • if you have the potential be present or to help support a student in crisis “WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW about CPI Training” is a class intended to provide the framework of CPI without the certification in order for staff to continue to guide and support each other, especially during some of the most challenging moments with kids in crisis. |
